Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center will showcase works from the St. Louis-based and Indian-born artist Sukanya Mani. Her artwork tells the stories of survivors of domestic violence throughout the pandemic, encouraging thoughtful reflection. This site will also house an interactive video where viewers can contribute their own voices and stories.

Artist Sukanya Mani’s artwork provides a powerful commentary on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on survivors of domestic violence. Through her bold and emotive pieces, Mani aims to raise awareness of this issue and inspire viewers to take action to support survivors in their communities. The pieces displayed here will be thought-provoking and emotionally resonant, and will encourage visitors to engage in meaningful dialogue and reflection. This site will also feature a video that gives viewers the opportunity to interact and respond, adding their voices to the stories told therein.

Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is a non-profit organization that makes it their mission to educate their community through the visual arts. By partnering with this exhibition, they seek to provide Mani with a platform to tell empowering stories that will raise the community’s awareness of a complex social issue.
